It is a premium adjustable fan control with push in probe that installs in the radiator fin section. It includes wire harness and air conditioning override relay. It is adjustable from 160 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit. It powers two fans up to 30 Amps.

i took it to get a diagnostic they said the problem was the radiator fan motor and that it would be good for me to flush the radiator. i replaced the fan motor and also put in a thermostat cause it didn't have one and i also flush the radiator with the water hose, but still the same thing. does anyone thing the radiator might be rodded, if yes how can you tell if it is. or might it have a different problem. the fan turns on fine also has a new radiator cap, the hoses feel fine.

That doesn't make any sense. I think they were just guessing, and not very well. The engine can't change temperature that fast, and none off those things would make it get hotter anyhow. It's the voltage to the gauge that changes. The brakes and ac and windows all draw considerable current. I bet ten to one the problem is a bad ground. Probably between the engine and the frame. The battery and alternator are grounded to the engine and all other electrical stuff to the frame, so if you don't have a good connection between the two, something like using the windows or fan changes the voltage to everything else. Like the Temp gauge. Check for a big ground cable between the engine and the chassis. Make sure it's clean and tight.

ok so acouple months ago my TCU fried and i had to remove it havent had the money to buy a new one. any way my car is now stuck in third gear and when i go 65 70 mph im doing 4000 4500 rpms the car tends to overheat at high speeds. iv looked at every possible explanation. the fans on the radiator are good, theres no oil in my coolant and vice versa, no smoke from my tail pipe, so its not the heads. and the water pump is working you can see the coolant flowing and the levels are good. with all these things checked what else could the problem be is it as simple as buying the tcu and getting out of failsafe mode to were it runs at lower rpms.

the radiator has been replaced and there is enough coolant. the oil is fine. the fans are working. it tends to overheat more when i slow down but not always. it happened while i was driving on the highway and i was able to get home in an hour and i was told to not go below 65 or it would overheat. any ideas?

thermostat isnt opening to let coolant flow thru engine, when running 65 the air is keeping it cool enough. id say ethier the water pump went out and isnt pumping coolant or the thermostat is stuck shut not opening. they do go bad after awhile and wont open like they should. there is always the chance of air pocket but im not betting on that but i have had this problem before

 Radiator mounts. Are they tight and not cracked?  Check fan blades for damage. Check the fanÂs mounting bolts for tightness.
